Korey Emslie, our founder and lead technical designer, has over a decade of experience in the Set Fabrication Industry. His portfolio spans Theater, Print, television, Film, Fashion, Trade/Expo, and Commercial Projects, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of varied creative domains. Korey’s hands-on fabrication background gives him intimate knowledge of fabrication processes crucial in crafting contemporary sets and installations. it takes a well-rounded and collaborative team to execute any project well. We pride ourselves on bringing just such a team to solve the most complex problems.

Rory, a Mechanical Engineering graduate with minors in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Denver, infused our team with a unique blend of analytical thinking and artistic creativity starting in April 2023. Hailing from New York, she gained hands-on experience in fabrication and refined her woodworking skills during a two-year stint at the campus woodshop. Rory’s proficiency with CNC and Woodworking and her mechanical background have made her an invaluable addition to our team; Rory consistently brings new solutions to the table and constantly strives for excellence in her work.

A proficient Mechanical Engineer with a minor in Computer Science and an Associates degree in Physics, JD brings a versatile blend of skills to Emslie Technical Solutions. His professional background encompasses an enriching internship with the engineering team at Sanmina Co. in Austin, Texas, and a significant role as a Physics Lab Technician at Austin Community College. Since joining Emslie Technical Solutions in August 2023, JD has been an active contributor to the team’s collaborative efforts, harnessing his diverse expertise to propel technological advancements. His primary focus lies in integrating mechanical engineering principles with cutting-edge computer science, channeling this fusion into streamlined and impactful solutions for the company’s projects.

Rebecca joined the team in 2024 after several years of experience as a technical designer in engineering firms. With a keen eye for detail, she enjoys bringing complex ideas to life through CAD models and turning them into clear, digestible sheet sets. Rebecca is a natural problem solver who likes finding practical solutions to tricky challenges. Outside of work she likes to spend a lot of time outdoors mountain biking, climbing or camping and enjoying what the mountains have to offer.

Hailing from Maui, Hawai’i, Darius graduated Cum Laude from the University of Denver with his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Math, and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, and joined the ETS team in 2025. During his time at DU, Darius was the Lead CAD Engineer for his capstone senior design project, designing an alpine simulator, providing him experience in designing and managing a large scale project. With a background that bridges the technical and creative, he brings a fresh perspective to problem-solving, often identifying unconventional yet effective solutions that push forward results and efficiency for the team while maintaining the attention to detail that technical projects demand.

April brings a people-first approach and sharp organizational instincts to the Emslie Technical Solutions team. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in English, she has spent several years coordinating projects and supporting operations in the home technology and interior design industries — keeping trades on schedule, managing procurement pipelines, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. Outside of work, April has thru-hiked over 1,500 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail through California — a testament to the grit and adaptability she brings to every project.

Paige is the newest member of the ETS team, having recently graduated summa cum laude from Colorado School of Mines with her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. A Colorado native, Paige has always had a passion for designing and making cool things, including a background in technical theatre and set design from her 18 shows with Mines Little Theatre. She brings creativity and precision coupled with a real world understanding of set fabrication to the technical design team and loves the problem solving required to bring these projects from design concepts into real world structures. In her free time, Paige enjoys hiking, skiing, sewing, crocheting, playing board games, and reading good books!
